Tired? fatigued? Stressed? Facing burnout in your role? Make a New Year’s resolution for 2018 to be the year you take better care of yourself!
As caring professionals we can’t offer our clients or service users a safe and healthy professional relationship without first looking to how we take care of ourselves. As caring professionals we are also likely to let our self-care slip and can easily fall into the role of giving, giving, giving.
This half-day workshop will cover:
- A brief theory of stress, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burn-out.
- The signs and symptoms and how to better understand our own responses
- Self care exercises; creative, mindful and body-based exercises to explore our own self-care
- Self-care resolutions; developing a personal self-care plan to take away.
The workshop will be carefully paced giving participants time to reflect, think and feel refreshed. Welcome to 2018
