Who we are

Founder

Hannah Robertson – Director of Therapeutic Arts and Business

Hannah has been involved in the arts therapies for more than 14 years, she has a first class BA (Hons) Arts Therapies Degree and a PGdip in Dramatherapy.  She is a state registered arts therapist (drama) and is a qualified teacher of further and adult education. For the last 11 years Hannah has facilitated therapeutic workshops and delivered Dramatherapy with groups and individuals in a variety of locations including: Her Majesty’s Prisons (men’s and women’s), Pupil Referral Units, Youth Offending Service, secondary and primary schools, government run projects, children’s homes and day centres.  She also has a private practice that is facilitated from her own private room in Derby City Centre. Training has included the long-term unemployed, NHS, primary, secondary and special needs schools (including residencies).  Hannah has also facilitated arts-based training with EDS, Rolls Royce and East Midlands Development Agency.  Hannah has been the clinical supervisor and placement manager for many degree and masters students for the University of Derby.

Arts Therapists

We have a team of highly professional arts therapists and senior trainees who operate totally within the ethos of Catharsis.  Details of therapists and trainees are provided to our clients/institutions prior to any work commencing.

All of our therapists are:

  • Enhanced CRB checked
  • State registered with the Health Care Professions Council
  • Professionally insured

Actors/Facilitators

If it is appropriate that an actor/facilitator become involved with a training event we have a pool of actors/facilitators we can call upon as and when required.  Details of such individuals will be provided prior to their involvement in a workshop.
