Catharsis is committed to providing therapeutic services that are tailored to the needs of a diverse range of clients. Our skilled therapists and versatile approach to creative psychotherapy allows full engagement at all levels.
The core of Catharsis community work is geared towards delivering the Arts Therapies to hard-to-reach groups and individuals within schools and other institutions, who are often socially excluded or experiencing psychological, emotional, relational or social difficulties.
Catharsis has an Arts Therapy centre in a quiet and confidential location, easily accessible from the centre of Derby and with parking. We have a pool of therapists available to see individuals, couples and families wishing to benefit from our services independently.
We aim to have a pool of therapists with a variety of skills and experience to call on, as and when work becomes available. Work can be in a variety of settings and may consist of short-term or long-term contracts.
We deliver training specifically for professionals working within a health, community, social care and education arena. A variety of training packages are on offer that can be tailored to fit the needs of the organisation and professionals. See our upcoming CPD events here.
We understand that regular 1:1 and group therapy required during your studies to become a therapist can be costly. At Catharsis we offer our services at a discount rate to current undergraduate and postgraduate masters students.
