First Aid Training for Therapists

Catharsis are facilitating HSE certificated First Aid training, (with an emphasis on working with young people) on Tuesday 18 April. This will be  an intensive day (6hrs); participants will be required to work on practical scenarios as an assessment of learning; successful participants will receive a Certificate which is valid for 3 yrs.
Included in the training:
  • Health and safety (first aid) regulations.
  • Managing an incident.
  • The priorities of first aid.
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty.
  • Resuscitation.
  • Choking.
  • Shock.
  • Bleeding.
  • Burns.
  • Head Injury.
  • Seizures.
  • Fractures and Soft Tissue Injury.
  • Anaphylaxis.
  • Temperature Extremes.
